After careful study of what the Bible teaches regarding the firmament, we have concluded that the most reasonable interpretation is that it represents a vast expanse or sky, rather than a solid, physical dome. Now, we turn our attention to the main topic of interest: what the Bible says about the shape of the earth itself.

Some people who believe that the Bible supports a flat-earth model frequently cite certain verses that, when interpreted in a strictly literal manner, seem to imply that the earth is fixed, immovable, or even flat. As we did with the concept of the firmament, we will carefully and methodically examine these passages to discern what the Scriptures truly convey about the earth’s shape. My aim throughout this study is to maintain an objective approach, seeking to interpret the biblical text faithfully and accurately.

Instead of addressing every verse individually, I will group together passages that share similar imagery or descriptions, such as references to the “four corners of the earth,” the “foundations of the earth,” and other similar expressions. For each category, I will offer an analysis and a concluding assessment based on the broader context of Scripture, taking into consideration the literary style, historical background, and theological intent of each passage. Finally, I will present an overall conclusion that synthesizes the findings of the entire study.
