Having established that Theism, as a worldview category, satisfies the criteria of consistency, correspondence, coherence, comprehensiveness, and livability, we now turn to a more demanding stage of evaluation. At the level of principle, Theism affirms a minimal but decisive claim: that ultimate reality includes a divine source capable of grounding the existence, order, meaning, and moral structure of the universe. That claim, taken on its own, proves explanatorily sufficient in ways that non-theistic worldviews do not. Yet this conclusion does not entail that every conception of the divine is equally true, coherent, or adequate.

As we move forward, the same evaluative criteria will be applied with greater precision. Each specific theistic system—whether Deism, Polytheism, Pantheism, Panentheism, or Monotheism—adds substantive claims about the nature, character, and activity of the divine. These additional claims increase explanatory responsibility and therefore invite deeper scrutiny. A worldview that succeeds at the category level may fail at the structural level once its internal doctrines are examined in detail. The question is no longer merely whether a divine reality exists, but what kind of divine reality best accounts for the world as we actually experience it.

This shift marks not a change in standards, but an increase in resolution. The criteria remain the same; what changes is the depth at which they are applied. The task before us is to determine whether particular theistic worldviews preserve the strengths of Theism in principle or undermine them through internal contradiction, explanatory gaps, or existential inadequacy. Only by pressing these systems beyond their surface claims can we discern which, if any, offer a vision of reality worthy of both reason and life.
